Kinesiology Taping

Please contact the FIDO HYDRO clinic if you have any questions or concerns on 0448 744 558

What is Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology Taping is a natural method that supports dogs through their rehabilitation, with the effects based on the tapes ability to interact with the skin and associated neuro and sensory receptors. It does this by gently lifting the layer of skin, hair follicles and tissues covering the underlying muscle, allowing for blood and lymph to move more freely in and around the muscle, which speeds up and assists the body’s natural ability to heal itself. K-taping is also seen to improve proprioceptive feedback (knowing the position and movement of a limb which is critical for balance and control of limb function) by stimulating receptors in the skin.

We'd love to hear from you

Fido Hydro requires a complete referral form from your dog’s treating Veterinary and/or treating Specialist, prior to the commencement of a Hydrotherapy treatment program. This enables FIDO HYDRO to be informed of any limitations, restrictions and/or any special requirements and confirms that your dog is fit enough to be treated and does not have any conditions that may adversely affect the dog in the water. Please ask referring clinic to also send patient history & scans/x-rays as well.
